Create a new page on your WordPress site that will be used to display all the blog posts. WordPress displays all your blogs on the current homepage by default. To change this, you need to follow a few easy steps:

  2. Create a second page that will be labeled “Blog” as it is where all blog posts will be displayed.
  3. Change from the Settings >> Reading tabs the Front page option to the ‘A static page’ option.
  4. From there change the pages just created into your home and blog page.

<?php /* Template Name: Homepage */ ?>
  1. Once done save the file as the template-homepage.php

WordPress sites have a lot of readers from different regions, who may have landed there for different reasons. With this comes the questions and queries about your product, comments on the impact your site has had on them or just a general applause for the content you have created. In order to facilitate great communication between you and your readers, it is important to have contact forms.

The commonly used plugins for contact forms are WP Forms and Contact Form 7, which are easy to add and customize. Creating contact forms can also increase the number of spammers who may be hard to repel, but there are security plugins like Jetpack and Wordfence than can help.

Creating a WordPress powered site can be a hard task for beginners. However, mastering the skills through hands-on experience pays off greatly in the long-run. Take your time to learn, be persistent, read widely and test out the different templates, plugins and other options, and in no time you will become a pro.
